Johannes' Publications
Preserving the past through the publication of old photographs has been at the forefront of Johannes' work for more than 30 years.  His title, Yesterday's Reflections, was first published in 1976 and has been updated and reprinted five times.  In February of 2003, Tidewater Amelia was published, displaying 560 images of Victorian era homes and buildings that still exist on Amelia, Cumberland, Fort George Islands, and St. Marys, Georgia.

Tidewater Amelia (published by Lexington Ventures Publishing) is a compelling photographic journal that features a geographic frontier whose ever-changing boundaries are determined not by cartesian or political line but by the ebb and flow of the tides.  It brings to each page the homes, churches, and commercial establishments of four distinct areas, Amelia Island, Fort George Island, Cumberland Island, and St. Marys, Georgia."  -- Julia Starr-Sanford, Architect.

The first three editions of Yesterday's Reflections are out of print and only available through the rare book sections of major online book stores.  Interesting enough, it has been seen going for as much as $250.  Are they really getting it?
